Psylla is the brainchild of Aleksi Kiiskinen, a Helsinki-based Finnish music producer at the forefront of creative electronic sounds coming from the Nordics. As such, Psylla strays from the conventional, instead seeking sounds and collaborations that have not yet been heard. In addition, he also knows his way around classic instruments such as the guitar and drums.
Praised for his mind-bending sounds and production skills by profilic electronic music artists like Disclosure, Baauer, RL Grime, and Mr. Bill, Psylla bows to no genre and instead glides through the electronic music spectrum with a gritty and daring sound signature. On the side, he spends his evenings mixing, mastering, and producing for other artists; putting his eclectic engineering skills to good use.
Aleksi’s recent credits include producing, co-writing, and mixing James Marriott’s debut album ‘‘Are We There Yet?’’ (#17 UK album chart), producing Lovejoy’s single ‘‘Normal People Things’’, and collaborations with a Grammy-winning US artist Varien and 2x US platinum songwriter TT The Artist – gathering over 60 million streams to date. Psylla’s song ‘‘Rush’’ was used to launch the Apple iPhone 15 Pro & Pro Max in 2023.
